Lately, i’ve fallen in love with this beautiful girl.
I miss her every moment we’re apart.
Many times it’s not smooth sailing… But…

my exams are finally over~!

hmmm…
many things getting my mood up and down over the past week.
feel very messy over thoughts and opinions.
but shan’t care abt it now.

anyway,
plan to start a schedule of things to do over the next 2 weeks..
before i need to start class again.
hopefully i can keep to it.

at least got 70+ years left before i’ll feel like an uncle.

anyway,
i just wanna thanks everyone who made my birthday such a wonderful 1.

it started on thursday night,
where i got to spend the 1st few hours of my 22nd year with some great friends.
i liked the mood there…
cosy and fun.
=)

and the next morning,
finally got the chance to play badminton again.
this time it was with some of my cell group members + zc.
after so long~!
really love the sport.
anyone interested in becoming my badminton kaki?

and after that,
headed down to jurong point to meet up with somemore friends.
and watched slumdog millionaire!
great show.
explains the academy awards it won.

and at the end of the show…
there was a big surprise for me.
haha…
i shall not say what happened.
it shall be between me and those who were there.
=X

thanks a lot guys…
it was one of the biggest surprises.
really couldn’t stop my mind from spinning.
i was soooooo stunned.

and finally met up with stwc after the movie,
and had dinner with them together with n395.
so many surprises that day.
i dun think i’ve recovered from it yet….

but really…
thank you all for being such great friends!

got me kindda riled up.

everyone’s entitled to their own opinions.

so allow me to reserve my opinions about certain things den.
especially when it hasn’t been a very pleasant day.

anyway…
saw a quote on tv mobile.
was kindda surprised to find something so sensible there.
don’t really remember the exact phrase,
but it went something like this…

destroy your enemies by making them your friends.

ok!
i’ve made up my mind.

i shall surprise them.
a training so unique,
nobody will have seen it done in fuhua before.

but i’m not gonna forsake my studies or anything else.
i believe i will be stretched.
but my capacity will be expanded after this.

on another note…
today’s tests were crazy.
i could do the difficult 1,
but messed up the easy 1.
oh man…

if a quadrilateral is a square, then it is a rectangle. like DUH~!

finally.
GOH.

but still…
undecided.

thoughts racing through my head.

was back in fuhua today…
discussing some plans for the 10th anniversary combined parade.
felt that it was full of rubbish.
ya,
the teachers all wanna be diplomatic…
yet at the same time wanna fight for their own cca.
understandable…
but is all this getting in the way of common sense and efficiency?
not much time left…
and the parade formation is not even decided yet.

scout+ncc combined GOH??
will never happen.
too different on too many levels.

4 UG combined GOH?
why dun we get them to sing the ‘i love you’ song from barney and friends while we’re at it?
as adrian put it…
‘the teacher think he playing scrabble ah… can anyhow mix and match’

but while i was being so judgemental and critical of the whole thing…
i suddenly stopped.
why am i caring so much abt it?
should i even be concerned abt this?
as we said,
we’re s/clt(ret) already.

on the other hand…
this is what we worked so hard to build up.
are we ready to let it crumble now?

looking at the unit…
quite disheartening.
we’re so focused on accolades that we’ve forgotten the intrinsic value of everything.
what happened to the pride in discipline?
the traditions of regimentation?

clts without uniform…
uniform without name tag…
times have changed.

during my time…
yeah…
i know that’s ages ago,
and i may be an antique now.
but still…
surely certain standards have to be maintained?

no uniform?
doesn’t matter how…
better make it magically appear.
no name tag?
i can’t even imagine us letting that happen.

taking over the running of the unit is not our intent.
seizing power from the active clts is not our intent.
forcing our will and opinions on them is not our intent.
judging and criticising the clts or cadets is not our intent.

we just want them to shine.
for the unit and for themselves.

and so…
here’s the dilemma.
should i or should i not get involved in this whole circus.
spectator, ring master or clown?

i need to meditate on this.

‘to lead with pride and dedication’
do these words mean anything now?

just a quick update…
my blog isn’t dead just yet.

been really busy with many activities lately…
one of the highlights being in-line skating at east coast park.
fyi,
in-line skating is the proper name for rollerblading.
rollerblade is actually a brand of in-line skates,
but it got so popular that people actually refer to the sport as rollerblading.
=P

anyway,
i had a really fun time in-line skating that day.
i think it was a great way for the cell group to do something new/exciting/fun together.
and i got to meet wei liang, zhen guang and SSG kevin again.

i can’t wait for the next time to go skating.
gotta thank jeremy for lending me his blades.
i call them blades cos his in-line skates are of the rollerblade brand,
so it’s alright for me to refer to them as blades.
=P

yup…
i’m very technical abt such stuff.
=X
